When it comes to losing weight, most of us are willing to try anything; well at least anything that doesn’t involve eating less and moving more. One popular theory says that if you drink more water, you will lose weight. Our body loses so much water throughout the day, so we need to make sure we are replacing it in a proper way. If you have physical exercises that you do to keep fit, you should be drinking even more water, although making changes in the diet can also help. It may sound crazy, but drinking a lot of water is manageable with these tips:

Quench your thirst regularly: Many of us walk around dehydrated, and do not even know that means you are not drinking enough water. Carry around a water bottle all day long. Actually, you should “get married” with your little water tank. Just be with it everywhere you go and sip at it all day long.

Add some flavor: Next, you can flavor your water drinks with lemons and honey. Chop them up and put them into the bottom of a jug. Then pour water in it. Make cucumber slices your favorite ones. Cucumber has 96% water content and mineral balance. Due to this fact, cucumber can produce similar hydration levels to twice the volume of water.

Avoid other beverages: Our body also gets quite acidic throughout the day; drinking coffee, eating unhealthy foods such as processed oils, canned foods, soft drinks and soda. They all shift our body pH value toward acidic one. So we all need to drink tons of water to flush out those toxins.  Drink more water and stop consuming high-calorie beverages. By the end of those weeks, you could be a few pounds lighter.

Fluid food: Intake water and water-filled foods like fruits, vegetables and legumes can help us to regain our natural fluid balance. Water is the first and the most successful step you should make in your successful weight loss effort. It is the ideal lubrication to help your body work properly. Our bodies are approximately 70 percent water, so the abundant hydration is more than necessary.

Water for kidneys: The kidneys filter toxins when the body is dehydrated. If you drink enough water, the organs work properly and your body will function better, resulting in weight loss. Water helps increase our metabolism which means increased metabolism, faster burning of calories. It decreases the acidic levels.

Water increases energy levels: If you do not drink water, we become dehydrated. Dehydration causes fatigue, reduced energy levels and hunger-like feelings. Drink water if you feel hungry may take care of the problem and keep you hydrated.

Avoid excess salt: Excess salt or sodium intake can also contribute to dehydration and fluid retention. Eating fresh, unprocessed foods is the best way to avoid salt.

Amount of water: Getting in the recommended 8 to 10 glasses a can be difficult, but with determination, you will soon be on the right track of using water to your weight loss advantage. Drink a full glass of water before, during and after a meal to aid digestion and speed weight loss from the water. The water will help your body to break down the food and absorb its nutrients.

More alcohol = More water: The belief is that drinking water helps suppress your appetite. Match any alcohol consumption with equal amount of water. This matched fluid intake should not count toward your daily water intake. Any water you drink for this purpose should be in addition to your daily water goal.

Drinking water has numerous health benefits and nobody should drink water solely for weight loss. It helps you feel alert, encourages your digestive system and bowels to work more efficiently. You can also notice a difference in muscle tone, when your muscles have all the water it needs, they contract more easily making your workout more effective. It can give your skin a healthy glow and make your hair shine. Think drinking water as part of your beauty regime. Drink water for a healthier body. Drink water for a better life!
